Lakeside Leisure is based at Ferry Meadows Watersports Centre which is situated in the beautiful surroundings of Nene Park, just 10 minutes from the centre of Peterborough.

The Watersports Lake covers 75 acres and is ideal for both novices and advanced watersports enthusiasts. For your safety buoyancy aids or windsurfing harnesses are compulsory.

If being out on the water is not your cup of tea then you could hire a bike and go for a ride round the lake and watch what's going on from the comfort of dry land.

Various activities are on offer including cycle hire, tuition for watersports, and a wide range of kit to hire, so hopefully there is something for everyone. The centre also operates as a public day sailing centre so you can launch your own windsurfing kit, sailing dinghy or canoe/kayak.You will need to pay for a day launch in the shop and have a minimum of 3rd party insurance but then you can use the lake and the facilities.

The watersports centre is accredited by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority for the provision of water sports and is recognised as a British Canoe Union and Royal Yachting Association Training Centre.  There is a wide range of BCU adult and junior kayaking courses , RYA power boating, sailing, and windsurfing courses on offer at the centre. All the courses  are  delivered by qualified and experienced instructors.

Large groups can be catered for and special rates are available for schools/colleges, youth groups, and corporate groups based on a minimum group size.

The watersports shop has a selection of  Crewsaver, Gill, Gul, and Yak watersports equipment and also keeps  a range of  Pyranha, Feel Free and Old Town kayaks/canoes in stock.

The cafe is open from 8:30am until half an hour before dusk 365 days a year.
