Lakeside Sailing Club are holding their annual open regatta over two days this year on the 10th-11th of October and we would welcome any sailors from your club to join us.
The format of the meeting will comprise of two catagories. (1) A youth sailing championship for sailor’s under17 years of age, and (2) Our normal club championship open for all sailors.
The youth championship will be for all classes of boat, single or double handed,up to 14ft long, and all results will adjusted with the PY System.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners and runners up of two age groups, the under 15yrs and the under 17yr sailors.
Senior racing will also be for any class of dinghy and all results again adjusted with the PY system.
Three races will take place on each day for both championships and five will count with one discard.
Racing will start at 1100 hrs on each day.
Entrance fee for the two days will be £20 per boat.
Camping sites are available on site, also the Lakeside Café and bar will be open as usual. There are also hotels nearby for those of you who don’t like camping.
PS. Why not come along to our 12th annual 24hr race on the 20th-21st June, in aid of the RNLI (we have raised almost £35000 so far)and we would appreciate your support for this very worthwhile cause.
