Lakeside Leisure are trying to make it easier for young people to gain access to the sports on offer. It would be good to see more young people participating in watersports such as Kayaking, Sailing and Windsurfing so a couple of packages have been put together which are ideal for a school group during term time or as an after school club.
Schools and colleges regularly use the centre as an outside provider for activities so we are used to dealing with large groups of students. Please click here to read some of the feedback we have had.
It is possible for us to come to your school/college to do some demos of windsurfing and sailing so you can get a feel as to whether the students are interested in giving it a go. This costs £50 but it would be refundable if you were to make a subsequent group booking (for 12 or more pupils) following on from the demo session.
We are also willing to give 1 days’ free tuition for a teacher or an assistant for every 12 pupils you bring. This will enable a member of staff to get to grips with what lies in store for the pupils.
A range of activities are available and it is down to you to choose something which best suit’s your groups needs. You can make up a day of activities or do a single taster sessions.
